Venue locations
- Sunday, 20 September (reception and early registration): UiO Natural History Museum (campus Tøyen), (Google Map) Welcome reception in the Climate House and museum library. About 1.6 km / 23 minutes walk from the city center. Side events with museum visits are planned during the conference week.
- Monday, 21 September (opening day, downtown): UiO University Aula for keynotes and opening sessions, (Google Map) Also see MazeMap. The opening day is open to university employees and students. Welcome reception at Oslo City Hall is about 400 m from the Aula and is offered by the city mayor.
- Tuesday to Friday, 22-25 September (main conference venue): Oslo Congress Center, (Google Map)
- Wednesday, 23 September (excursion day): Excursions and bioblitz activities for conference participants.
Getting around Oslo
Public transport
Ruter operates public transport in Oslo, including metro, bus, tram, train, and ferry services.
- Use Ruter# journey planner to plan and move around Oslo.
- Ruter route maps show metro, bus, tram, and ferry networks.
- Tickets can be bought in the Ruter app, at Oslo S, from Ruter customer service, or from selected kiosks such as Joker and Narvesen.
- Most recommended Oslo excursions are in Zone 1. Travel from Oslo Airport to the city centre is Zone 4N.
Important: Non-Norwegian residents should not create a profile in the app. For these cases you MUST take a screenshot of the ticket, that will be the only proof that you purchased it.
