Working Sessions 2025
Last updated: 2025-05-12
Virtual sessions for interest, task, and maintenance groups
Interest and task groups are the driving force for developing and maintaining TDWG standards, and participation is the essential factor that gives TDWG standards authority in open science. As the biodiversity informatics community grows every year, we hold virtual introductory working sessions to:
- Inform the wider biodiversity information community about the ongoing work to develop and maintain standards;
- Review progress to date;
- Engage new contributors; and
- Set the agenda for this year’s work.
Schedule and registration
The TDWG community spans the globe, which makes scheduling any single real-time event inconvenient for some people. Some groups solved this problem by holding their “session” twice- once for each hemisphere (East/West)- increasing the likelihood that one will be less inconvenient. We recorded most sessions and have posted the videos on TDWG’s YouTube channel, in playlist of 2025 Working Session Videos.
All sessions were held between 14 and 25 April. Registration was free, but required to get the Zoom link.
Then see the alphabetical session list below to see which session have videos and then click the “▶️” to view the session’s video.
