Excursions
Wednesday Excursions
Full day excursions (outside Oslo)
- Visting Tønsberg
- 1-2 hr tour plus looking around
- UiO Marine Field Station in Drøbak
- Ferry to Oscarsborg Fortress (Drøbak) - approx 1 hour one way
- can take the bus or ferry
- Fredrikstad? (cultural), 1 hr on the train (no guide, just a place to go)
- Birding at Nordre Øyern bird station
Half day excursions
- Island hopping
- Museum collection tours, including Økern
- Also, plan evening collection tours for those that don’t go on Wednesday
- Nordmarka forest (Erik?)
- Museums downtown (National Museum, Nobel Peace)
- Ferry to Bygdøy to visit the museums (Folk museum, Viking museum) and hike around Oslo fjord
