Author Guidelines
Standards submitted to the TDWG Standards Track must comply with the TDWG Standards Documentation Specification (URL).
A single zip file containing all normative parts of the standard (type 1 and 2 documents) must be submitted with the standard. This rule can be disregarded in cases where the entire standard consists of a single text, human-readable document. In those cases, a single document in MS Word (.doc) or PDF formats is accepted.
Additional, non-normative documents may be submitted as supplementary files.
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The draft standard comply with the TDWG Standards Documentation Specification (URL).
- The submission file is in a ZIP archive, or in case of single document specifications, in Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF document file format.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
