The Biodiversity Information Standards (TDWG) is a not-for-profit, scientific and educational association formed to establish international collaboration among the creators, managers and users of biodiversity information so as to promote the wider and more effective dissemination of information about the world's heritage of biological organisms for the benefit of the world at large.

TDWG Standards Track
The TDWG Standards Track journal is used to manage the submission, review, and ratification of all TDWG standards.
To be formally ratified, every TDWG standard must go through the review process established by the new By-Laws ratified during the TDWG Annual Meeting 2006 and comply to the Standards Documentation Specification.
The TDWG Standards Track journal is used to implement this process.

TDWG Charters
The TDWG Charters journal is used to manage the submission and review of TDWG subgroup charters.
To be formally established and become operational, every TDWG subgroup (task or interest group) is required to submit a charter to the TDWG Charters journal for review and approval by the TDWG Executive Committee.
