Woods Hole is a gorgeous, quaint village with beautiful beaches and seaside charm. Some things to do while you are here;

  • The Shining Sea Bike path was recently extended to Route 151. It now totals 16km/10miles of beautiful vistas along ponds, beaches, woods and marshes. It’s a leisurely, easy ride, a must if you have some free time. Bikes can be rented from Corner Cycle in Falmouth, $25 for 24 hours.   • Take a ferry across to Martha’s Vineyard, one of the most popular and picturesque destinations in New England. Be sure to visit all of the main towns as they each have a unique feel. Ferries run throughout the day from the Steamship Authority terminal in Woods Hole, $15 return fare. http://www.islandferry.com/ssa/index.cfm
  • Woods Hole Aquarium on 166 Water Street, Woods Hole is a small, public aquarium that displays approximately 140 species of marine animals found in Northeast and Middle Atlantic waters. Admission is free. http://aquarium.nefsc.noaa.gov/index.html
  • Nobska lighthouse sits at the top of Nobska Road overlooking the waters toward Martha’s Vineyard. Continue driving along Oyster Pond Road and Surf Drive to enjoy vistas of Vineyard Sound and local beaches.
