Carbon Offsets
Please talk to your travel agent, airline or specialist companies such as Carbon Neutral about purchasing carbon offsets for your travel. The cost for carbon offset for a trip half way around the world is roughy the same as a taxi fare. If the technology permits, we will try to establish audio and video links to at least some sessions. The technology for video conferencing is getting better, but still has some way to go before it replaces travel.
Acknowledgement
The work of Elizabeth Arnaud, Brigitte Cabantous, Michel Salas and the Montpellier Local Organzing Committee and the TDWG 2009 Programme Committee is gratefully acknowledged.
