Hotel Ibis (suggested overflow hotel)

There are benefits in having the majority of delegates housed in the same hotel. The Ibis is a mid-range hotel situated within easy reach of the city centre for evening meals and entertainment and is within a reasonable distance (less than 30 minutes on inexpensive public transport or on foot) from the Conference Venue.

If you have Google Earth you can download and run this KML file: TDWG2007-Ibis.kml

There is no other comparable large enough hotel close enough to the venue.

The current room rate is 89 euro weeknights (75 euro Fri/Sat/Sun) with breakfast at 8 euro. We are aware that a lower rate is currently available (early June) for bookings on the hotel web site, but with strict penalties (no change, no cancellation).

Alternatives

There is a wide range of alternative accommodation in Bratislava, including several "Botels" (which look comfortable enough) moored alongside the River Danube, but little that is convenient for travel to the Conference Venue. If you do not wish to stay at the SÚZA or the Ibis we suggest that you look at this web site:
