Project Description
The Biodiversity and Biocollections webserver is one of the oldest (ancient by Internet time) sites to provide information about biodiversity, biological collections, and associated software. It has been sponsored by several institutions during this time and now the managed by Julian Humphries, University of Texas and Bill Fink, University of Michigan. The server is housed at the Museum of Zoology of the University of Michigan which is proud to be its new home. The Museum is providing space and internet access to the project as part of its mission as a center of training and research in evolutionary and systematic biology. We request that research facilitated by this site will include mention of it in publications.

The National Science Foundation recently provided funds for a major upgrade of hardware and software for the site. We hope to reward repeat users with news and more services as time goes by.
