Project Description
BioChange is an integrative, multi-disciplinary research framework to support national and local biodiversity policy in Ireland. Core research within the cluster directly addresses the protection and management of ecological resources in the context of pressures that might lead to environmental change by focusing on habitat fragmentation and loss, impacts on non-native species, climate change, pollution and resource management. BioChange will provide an Irish framework to address the most significant biodiversity policy in Europe- halting the decline of biodiversity by 2010.
