Proposed Task Group on TCS Usage
There is a proposal for a new task group to investigate usage issues of TCS.
There is a proposal for a new task group to investigate usage issues of Taxonomic Concept Schema (TCS) for exchanging taxonomic names and concepts. The idea for the task group is to report back within 1 year, issues associated with the usage of TCS for providers or consumers o ftaxonomic names and concepts. The outcome of the group will include proposed changes to TCS and examplars for good practice in generating TCS for different scenarios to ensure TCS is properly intrerpreted by the community. The proposed task group will be required to produce a charter for approval by the executive. This will be drafted through the wiki. The proposed chair of the task group is Aaron Wilton, Landcare Research, NZ.
