Call for project proposals - TDWG Infrastructure Project (TIP) - Round 2

The TDWG Infrastructure Project (TIP) has US$250,000 (total) available to projects that help advance TIP goals.

The details-

  • Proposals to be sent to lee(at)tdwg.org by 2400 UTC November 15, 2006
  • Decision on supported projects will be announced by 30th November 2006
  • Projects must be completed before TDWG 2007
  • Proposals (1-page maximum) should describe-
    • Who is going to do it?
    • What issue/problem is going to be addressed (see below)?
    • What is going to be produced?
    • Where is the work going to be done?
    • How much will it cost?
  • Priority will be given to projects that-
    • Integrate with or advance the TDWG ontology. Please talk with Roger Hyam (roger(at)tdwg.org) before submitting proposals.
    • Advance the deployment of LSIDs. Please discuss with Donald Hobern (dhobern(at)gbif.org) or Ricardo Pereira (ricardo(at)tdwg.org) before submitting proposals.
    • Advance quality documentation that supports TDWG standards
